What are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team on-site in Quito, Ecuador. In this role, you will define and implement our Enterprise Architecture strategy, including the integration of new technologies and IT planning. Your mission will be to ensure a simple, adaptable, and scalable technology environment that aligns with our Bank's strategy, allowing us to stay at the forefront of Digital Transformation processes and deliver top-quality technological services efficiently, on time, and within budget, all while adhering to strategic frameworks, institutional policies, and supervisory guidelines.
Required Technical Knowledge:
- Project Management – IT Plan Management
- Strategic Planning and Information Process Auditing
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of cloud service management
- In-depth understanding of IT Governance (ITIL, COBIT)
- Business Modeling
- Knowledge and experience in Banking and Financial Systems
- Advanced knowledge (certifications) in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, BIAN, Zachman, Gartner)
- Extensive experience applying Enterprise Architecture frameworks

Key Responsibilities:
- Define the target architecture in alignment with the Bank's strategy and identify existing gaps, including policies, procedures, and technological risk mitigation plans.
- Investigate and evaluate the gaps between the current and desired architecture across all domains (Business, Applications, Data, Infrastructure, Information Security) and propose a strategic IT plan.
- Assess and evaluate technological solutions through governance models and Enterprise Architecture practices, participating in Architecture review committees and operational Architecture committees.
- Communicate the IT plan and performance metrics to stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment with technological initiatives and strategies across the organization.
- Establish and enforce technological standards, assessing their relevance and scope.
- Coordinate and execute successive iterations of the Architecture Development Method (ADM) as specified in the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Framework.
- Identify priorities for strategic technology changes based on reference standards and best practices, proposing solutions aligned with the institutional environment.
- Define initiatives to bridge gaps between the current and desired state, including budget planning aligned with the Bank's financial procedures.
- Develop a roadmap indicating the planning and interdependencies of initiatives.
- Translate objectives into measurable outcomes, represented by metrics and goals that relate to institutional benefits.
